Acero Precision sponsored, Highcroft Racing clinched a first place win in the American Le Mans Series championship finale at Road Atlanta in Brasleton, GA and with it back to back Series Championships in the Le Mans Prototype class. What could be best described as the Super Bowl of endurance racing, Petit LeMans was the last race in the American LeMans Series for 2010.
From the engine, components, team and drivers, everyone performed with exemplary speed and accuracy in the 1,000 mile journey to first place. This included two of Highcroft newest members, Matt Spencer and Michael Broadwater on loan from Acero Precision. Both engineers arrived on Thursday to train at the qualifying rounds and by Saturday found them working side-by-side Highcroft Pit Crew. This round of the Highcroft Field Experience tested the duo’s speed, endurance, and attention to detail.
Ending the season on a high note, Highcroft Racing’s, Duncan Dayton, summed up the win with this comment, “Today is not only a fitting tribute to David, Simon and Marino who I think are the best drivers in the paddock, but also to the entire team who have worked tirelessly and provided us with a fault-free car all day.”
Congratulations Highcroft and we will see you next year!<< Back to News
